Cobb Global Outreach Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, and national origin.
In order to be considered for a scholarship award, applicants must:
Be a high school seniors who plans to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Must be a current student at Central High, Cox Mill High, or Norcross High School.
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Complete the Cobb Global Outreach Inc. application.
Submit a typed essay between 500-750 words detailing your career plans/goals for the future, unique personal experiences, and how this scholarship would assist you in attaining your goals. Students must also include the college that he/she plans on attending.
If an applicant attempts to manipulate the required essay and does not submit at least 500 words, the applicant will be disqualified.
Two letters of recommendation from faculty members at the student’s high school. The letters must highlight the student’s accomplishments, skills, academic success and character. Recommendation letters should be sent via email by the faculty member. Any recommendation letters sent by the applicant will not be considered.
Agree to speak with Cobb Global Outreach Inc. personnel after their first semester highlighting their college experience and how they were able to utilize their scholarship from Cobb Global Outreach Inc.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $1000. Up to two awards will be granted each year per school.
Interested students should complete the application and email it along with the required essay and a current, complete grade transcript to Cobb Global Outreach Inc. (firstname.lastname@example.org). Application must be postmarked no later than:
May 1, 2022 - Central High School
May 9, 2022 - Cox Mill High
April 25, 2022 - Norcross High School
Report cards are not acceptable. Online transcripts must display student name, school, grade, credit hours earned for each course and the term in which each course was taken. Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application. If an acknowledgment card is not received within three weeks, applicants may email to verify that their application has been received.
Please email the completed application and ALL supporting documents in a single, multi-page PDF file. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, please be sure to answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All information received is confidential and reviewed only by Cobb Global Outreach Inc.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, and personal statement of goals and aspirations.
Selection of recipients is made solely by Cobb Global Outreach Inc. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified of the decision by May 2022. Not all applicants who apply will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarships
Payments are made in a one-time installment on June 2022. Checks will be given out in person or mailed to each recipient's home address and are made payable to the recipient.
Recipients will be required to submit a school photo to be uploaded on our website and/or social media sites. Cobb Global Outreach Inc. also asks that you submit a paragraph or video expressing how the Cobb Global Outreach Inc. scholarship has benefited you.
Cobb Global Outreach Inc. reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
